Why a Bi-Metal Heat Break? (Titanium/Copper)

Using a titanium heat break can help with 3D printer performance, by helping keep the "cool side" of your hot end cooler which promotes clog/heat creep reduction. Titanium has the best strength to weight ratio of all known metals, giving you conference in its reliability.

Along with Titanium's ability to reduce heat entering the "cold zone" of the hotend, the chromium copper component help dissipate any heat quickly. Well-made Bi-Metal Heatbreaks a typically known for performance improvements and an increase in heat dissipation.

Why Hardened Plated Copper?

Plated copper upgrades are the most cost effective way to increase the range of 3D printer filaments used on your 3D printer when wanting to print high temperature filaments. These heater blocks are a direct OE aftermarket replacement with some of the best cost to quality ratio in the market.

This Heater Block is developed to handle above 500°c. The high temperature copper alloy can help conduct and hold awesome print temperatures unlike most heater blocks and the nickel plating helps reduce adhesion of your filaments to the nozzle.

This heater block is made to be the all-in-one option that will outlast the printer itself.

Along with PLA, ASA, ABS, TPU, PETG etc. Some filaments this will allow you to print are;
  • PEEK
  • PEI
  • Woodfill
  • Carbon Fibre
  • Glow in the Dark (Hardened steel nozzle required)
  • Bronzefill (Hardened steel may be preferred for long term)
  • Brassfill (Hardened steel may be preferred for long term)
  • Other Metal impregnated Filaments (Hardened steel may be preferred for long term)

Additional information

Changing from aluminium hotends to plated copper may require you to raise your temps 5-10°c

Please note that if you are printing above 280°c available silicone socks will start to fail and it is recommended that you print without one.
