Please note, due to the high amount of variations and custom builds of the above printers, it is vital that you make sure the following specifications are required for your printer.
Specifications;
Type: MK10
Filament Size: 1.75mm
Thread: M7
Nozzle diameter: 0.4mm
Kit contains;
- 1x Aluminium “Cold Zone”
- 1x Stainless Steel “Heat Break”
- 1x A2 Hardened Nozzle 0.4mm
This All-Metal MK10 upgrade kit is made of two materials for better thermal performance. The upper “cold zone” is made of aluminium for is increased thermal conductivity and ability to carry away heat from the filament. The Lower “heat break” is made of stainless steel because of its low conductivity, reducing heat creep.
Why All-Metal?
An all-metal hot end will allow you to print at higher temperatures due having no PTFE liner, of which will degrade at higher temps. This in turn may allow you to print faster also.
Why hardened steel?
Harden steel nozzles are the most cost effective way to increase the range of 3D printer filaments used on your 3D printer.
This abrasion resistant nozzle was designed and developed to last a lifetime and allows you to be able to print abrasive filaments that would normally destroy a standard brass nozzle.
Some filaments this will allow you to print are;
- Woodfill
- Carbon Fibre
- Glow in the Dark
- Bronzefill
- Brassfill
- Other Metal impregnated Filaments
Additional information
Hardened Steel nozzles, while an ideal option for everyday 3D printing, you may require to changing your printing temperatures. We recommend adding around 5°c when installing our nozzles.
